When my mom came to visit we went to Bryce Canyon for the first time. I was a stormy day and very cold when we finally got there. The lighting was terrible and it was raining and blowing. Later though we had glimpses of sunlight and played peek a boo with the lighting while taking pictures along the way. Some of the pictures however: turned out to be breathtaking.

Halloween 2010

We had fun on Halloween, going from Linn's "trunk or treat" to St. George to see Sunnie and Enoch. The kids got tired early and had0de a sugar crash. I found the costumes for Tehya and Urijah at a thrift store for two dollars and made Linoka, and Ilaya's. I threw it all together plus decorations for the house for about $25 bucks! Urijah was so sad when we took the decorations down.

Enlistment

I just completed my enlistment with the United States Air Force Reserve on Wednesday July 14th 2010. I will be going to basic training anytime after September 15th haven't got a specific time yet. The job I'm going into is called Electrical Power Production. I'm excited for this opportunity to serve my country as well as the benefits for my education.
Ron Lewis retired Captain U.S. Navy did my enlistment. He flew helicopters and fixed wing aircraft from an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam war. It was such an honor to have him do my enlistment. After that he took me and my recruiter out to lunch at Applebees. It was a real treat.

The Toad

Here is the Toad that the Kids Found, Tehya threw a fit when we left because she wanted to bring it home with us.

A Visit to Kane Beds

We went out to visit a friend in Kane Beds last weekend and had so much fun. We found a toad hopping in the middle of the desert and the kids had so much fun playing with it. Marv and I got to go crawling in Johns Samurai. We went on a fast and a little scary ride through the sage brush and along the bumpy red sandy road until we got to a cove(can't remember the name of the cove) where there is some spectacular Native American Hieroglyphics on the red sandstone.. It was so cool! what a blast!

My first blog entry

Hello everyone!

I've just created my account and am getting started on my blog spot. I am excited about using this forum to keep you updated on current events, photos of my family, stories and more. This is a picture I took when Bonnie was visiting around May 2009. We went to hike around the red rocks overlooking St. George. It's one of our favorite spots to visit. The views are absolutely astounding. These pictures turned out to be crisp and beautiful so I wanted to share them.
